Trimensional 3D Scanner for iPhone Already Released

Sometimes we find a very unique application for the iPhone and iPad. Trimensional is one application that has engulfed app store more than a week ago. What this does is allow you to use the iPhone 4, iPod touch (gen 4) or iPad 2 as a simple 3D scanner.
Application works with the flashing sequence of four frames on the IOS device's screen and at the same time, capture images with the camera facing forward. By projecting a different image from the screen that allows you to create simple 3D map of the face or body.
Capturing the image needs to be done with certain conditions to get the best results. That includes cranking up to full brightness in the settings screen IOS and resides in a dark room when you take a picture. If the conditions are met and you sit down with the stable, you can get yourself in the 3D image of your face or other objects.

Although the results are not perfect (still very good), at 59p (99 cents), you could say it is the least expensive alternative to full 3D scanners, in some cases (although less expensive options available).

This application allows you to capture the 3D object and store it locally. What you should do is to purchase in-app which then allows you to easily export the objects to the software package 3rd party 3D OBJ format, STL or ply. Mesh smoothing can be applied if necessary.

Overall, an impressive and well thought out app that measures beyond what we normally see on the IOS device.
